From Advent's Hosanna-hymn through Epiphany's guiding-star imagery, this recording covers the whole festive season in a program reprising the Northwest congregations' annual congregational Christmas programs. In addition to large choir pieces, the CD includes piano and other instrumental accompaniment as well as Longview's traditional handbell music. Some of the 21 songs feature special voice arrangements and solos. All of the hymns are from the SHZ hymnal. The recording, with singers and musicians from the Washington congregations, took place in January 2012 at the Lagerquist Concert Hall on the campus of Pacific Lutheran University, in Tacoma, Washington.
